Happy 2012 to everyone! This year marks a milestone for me personally and professionally. On January 14th I celebrated my one year anniversary on Etsy.com as the owner of ABChic Designs, and in June I will attend my 10 year high school reunion! The excitement I am feeling about my business is not matched by the feelings I have about being a legal adult for 10 years. Though I feel better physically than I have in years thanks to my new found motivation to maintain a workout regimen, I still feel like I need time to just act irresponsibly and without reason! I need to stay in touch with my youthful side to keep the creativity flowing, and between changing diapers, feedings, school pickups, Girl Scouts, Clogging, Library Story Hour, and housework there isn't much time left for ME to act like a kid. I wouldn't dream of having my kids make sacrifices for my gain, but asking the other adults in my life to take on some of these responsibilities occasionally is something I am not above doing, lol! So, despite the rolling eyes, sideway glaces, and grumbles under breath, I am taking back my youth in 2012, and I hope it will bring a new life to my work.
